Covenant relationships are
faith-based partnerships founded on an agreement between two or more
organizations or groups that have mutually complementary ideals,
goals, projects, or purposes.
The Mission establishes covenant relationships with churches and
other organizations for the purpose of offering resources and
services, to the end of building community and fostering individual
transformation, outward service, and a God-centered lifestyle. More
specifically, covenant relationships at The Mission are founded on
the pursuit of a transformational way of living, to help promote the
process of individual and community-wide transformation. The goal is
to begin to experience a state of communion with God and each other.
From this place of communion (Christ-centric and God-guided) a wider
outreach and service initiative builds yet a wider and wider
community. Covenant relationships from The Mission’s perspective act
to support the wider community as a ‘becoming place’ for individuals
on their spiritual path while at the same time offering paths of
action to serve.
Covenant relationships can be formed by making a simple statement or
a letter of intent to form a covenant with The Mission, to support
in some way its existence and purpose. This might be through shared
facilities, purpose, ministry, or mission work.
