Growing Spiritually

What does it mean to grow spiritually, and how do we do it?

While it is true that we as Christians are saved by grace, it is also true that we are called to draw closer to God.

How do we define the process of drawing closer to God?  How are we to do this?  Why should we do this? And why do we do this with Jesus at our side? What part of this process is up to us, and what part of it is up to God?

The Mission provides an infrastructure and support for exploring these kinds of questions.

The following discussion of spiritual paths introduces various means of growing spiritually. Not all paths are right for all people (kind of like shoe shopping  -- one size doesn't fit all). Regardless of the path, spiritual growth requires that we choose  intentional action (s) in order to cleanse and purify ourselves.

Below you will find a graphical representation of how one might grow spiritually feel free to print this version and use it for yourself. The following steps are based on the beatitudes in Mathew 5-7.

2. What are the components of a spiritual practice?

3. What are the paths at the mission and how do they relate to the spiritual paths of life?

4. What are the differentiators between different religions and different paths?

5. Why choose Christianity?

6. Religious Pluralism and the Global culture.
