Intentional Choices

The action of making an intentional choice is a powerful exercise of one's will in one direction or another.  Intentional choices are  conscious, deliberate decisions. We may intentionally choose to change a particular behavior, a habit, a way of being, or even a course of development that we recognize as being less than healthy or truthful, or not aligned with God.

Often  we move through life  being molded by environmental influences, circumstance and general habit, without consideration of where these forces are taking us.  The ability to make intentional choices begins with reflection, insight or understanding about these forces, and a desire to choose more wisely.

When one does this in the direction of God, it can bring one to live a life with deep commitment. It can also lead one to begin measuring oneself by internal standards rather than those of the world or mass consciousness.
